Welcome to Dayereh Community

Dayereh is the platform. Dayereh Community is the circle.

This is a community made for and by students and recent graduates. Whether you're engaging online or in-person, through official Dayereh programs or ambassador-led events, you're part of something bigger: a student-led movement centered on style, sustainability, and support.

These guidelines exist to protect that experience, to maintain trust, and to ensure that everyone can engage safely, confidently, and meaningfully.

Our mission

Dayereh Community is rooted in:

  • Empowerment: Helping students express themselves through shared fashion.

  • Sustainability: Making access affordable, ethical, and environmentally conscious.

  • Inclusivity: Creating safe spaces for everyone, regardless of background or identity.

  • Trust: Encouraging kindness, honesty, and accountability in every interaction.

Who this applies to

These guidelines apply to anyone participating in Dayereh Community spaces:

  • Members of our Facebook Groups, Reddit Threads, LinkedIn spaces, Discord (if launched), etc.

  • Attendees of campus events and pop-ups

  • #DayerehAmbassadors and their audiences

  • Contributors on Threads, Twitter (X), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Spotify

Community code of conduct

The DOs:

  • Be kind, inclusive, and welcoming

  • Respect different styles, stories, and backgrounds

  • Give constructive, not critical, feedback

  • Credit others when sharing content, ideas, or inspiration

  • Use inclusive and accessible language

  • Follow the spirit of Dayereh: "What’s mine, is also yours."

The DON'Ts:

  • No hate speech, discrimination, or harassment

  • No trolling, spamming, or self-promotion

  • No explicit, violent, or NSFW content

  • No sharing others' personal info or photos without consent

  • No misinformation or fearmongering

  • No illegal content or discussion

Content standards & user participation

Allowed:

  • Fashion advice, outfit recaps, jewelry styling

  • Honest experiences with borrowing/lending

  • Sustainable living tips

  • Student success stories and campus updates

  • Empowerment, identity, or personal growth reflections

Not allowed:

  • Misleading financial or promotional claims

  • Impersonation of other members or brands

  • Posting the same content across multiple channels repeatedly (spam)

  • Commercial advertising or competitor promotion

Privacy & safety

  • Do not share private information (yours or others') in public channels

  • Always ask for permission before posting others’ photos or stories

  • Report unsafe or suspicious activity immediately via the platform or to community@dayereh.com

🌍 Accessibility & inclusivity

We welcome all students regardless of gender identity, race, religion, economic status, or ability. You agree to:

  • Use language and visuals that reflect inclusivity

  • Avoid culturally appropriative content

  • Support accessibility (e.g., add alt text, captions when possible)

Enforcement & conflict resolution

We believe in restorative community management. That means:

  • First Violation: Private reminder and education

  • Second Violation: Warning and possible content removal

  • Third Violation: Temporary suspension or removal from the space

Flag serious violations (e.g., hate speech, doxxing) and we will act immediately.

Channel-specific addendums

Facebook:

  • Use relevant tags when posting (e.g., #BorrowedLook, #RentTips)

  • Listing promotions must stay within the designated Listing Group

  • No cross-posting from other resale or rental platforms

Instagram:

  • Be authentic: No filtered glam-only perfection

  • Tag @dayereh.community and use #DayerehCircle for reposts

  • Don’t spam giveaways or promos in comments

Threads & Twitter (X):

  • Keep tone witty but respectful

  • No quote-tweet dogpiling

  • Use humor constructively, not sarcastically at others’ expense

TikTok:

  • Consent is required for all featured individuals

  • Don’t mimic marginalized cultures or use harmful audio trends

  • Avoid TikTok-only slangs that alienate non-native speakers

YouTube:

  • Avoid clickbait or misleading titles/thumbnails

  • Credit featured community members or pieces

  • Comments must be moderated by uploader or Dayereh staff

Spotify:

  • Community playlists should reflect values of unity and creativity

  • No explicit lyrics in community-focused shared lists

  • Use voice features (e.g., podcast episodes) respectfully

Reddit:

  • No karma farming

  • Anonymous posts allowed but not for shaming or passive-aggressive content

  • Use flairs to help categorize content: [Style Help], [Borrow Story], [Lending Tips]

LinkedIn:

  • Maintain professional, empowering tone

  • Celebrate achievements; don’t compare or compete

  • No unpaid opportunity promotion unless explicitly educational

These guidelines will evolve as our community grows. We promise to:

  • Collect regular feedback

  • Revisit guidelines annually (or as needed)

  • Update the community with transparency
